Selling Tips
You don't get a second chance to make a good impression! Make the most of that first impression. A home that stands out among similar priced homes is the one that sells. Prepare your home to sell with special attention to the following:
Exterior:
- Keep the lawn carefully mowed and edged.
- Trees and shrubs trimmed, flower beds edged, and weeded.
- Driveways and walks clean and clear of clutter.
- Exterior house paint in good condition, and clean.
- Front door clean and in good condition.
- All doors and door locks open easily.
- No clutter in yard or driveway.
Interior:
- Walls clean and unmarked, preferably freshly painted with neutral colors.
- Baseboards clean and dust free.
- Windows clean inside and out.
- Blinds clean inside and out.
- All light fixtures working, and new bulbs in each.
- Plumbing in good repair.
- No cooking, smoking, pet or other objectionable odors.
- Sinks and tubs stain free.
- Faucets in good working order.
- Caulking in tub and showers in good repair.
- All clutter removed from closets, attic, garage and other storage areas.
- All kitchen appliances in good working order, and clean.
